Niantic had released a new Pokémon into the wild, and reports are showing that some trainers have already captured this creature on their Pokémon GO app. This Pokémon is the light-purple blob, Ditto. It can take the form of any physical form, most notably, other Pokémons.
According to Ditto’s Pokédex entry in Ruby and Sapphire version, it rearranges its cell structure to transform itself into other shapes. However, if it tries to transform itself into something by relying on its memory, this Pokémon manages to get details wrong. In addition, as stated on its Pokédex entry in Gold version, it changes into a stone when it sleeps to avoid being attacked.
Ditto is just scattered around the map but how do we find it?
Reports suggest that a Ditto will be hiding as another Pokémon, and it won’t appear as itself if you encounter one on the map. It disguises itself as one of the common Pokémons, such as Rattata, Pidgey, Magikarp, and Zubat. And it will only reveal itself once you capture it. Reports also suggest that it can also be encountered while using incense and lures.
If you’re still on the journey of completing the Pokédex, you better think twice before ignoring the Rattata and Pidgey that will appear on your map so you can capture that Ditto.
